One of Madonna’s most famous outfits will go up for auction this spring.

The pink dress from the music video material girlworn by the artist in 1984, will go to the highest bidder at an event called Music Icons, which will take place from May 20 to 22 on the internet, as well as at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York, announced the Julien’s Auction auction house.
Inspired by the set released by Marilyn Monroe in Gentleman Prefers Blondes (Men prefer blondes), a musical film released in 1953, the satin dress could raise the auction price to as much as US$200,000, estimates the team at Julien’s Auction.
Other items that should excite buyers during the event include drums from the Quarry Men, the pre-Beatles band formed by John Lennon (estimated sale price: between US$400,000 and US$600,000), a guitar acoustic by Johnny Cash (between US$100,000 and US$200,000), an electric guitar by Eddie Van Halen (between US$30,000 and US$50,000), a stage costume by Mick Jagger (between US$4,000 and US$6,000) and a lined sheet on which Bruce Springsteen wrote the lyrics to glory roada song he later renamed Born to Run.
