American singer Nick Carter will be the subject of a documentary in which there will be no question of music. Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter will look into the accusations of sexual assault against the member of the Backstreet Boys and the consumption problems of his brother, who died in November 2022.
“Nick looks like a cute Ken doll, but I know how mean he can be,” says his former girlfriend Kaya Jones in the trailer for this four-episode documentary series.
The one who met the star in 2004 is not the only one to offer a shocking testimony.
Broadcast on the Investigation Discovery channel on May 27 and 28, then on the Max platform, the show will also present interviews with Melissa Schuman, Ashley Repp and Shannon Ruth, three women who allege having been sexually assaulted by Nick Carter. The latter has always denied the actions with which he is accused.
The documentary will also look at the tumultuous relationship between Nick Carter and his brother Aaron. The trailer highlights how the cadet came to the defense of women who filed complaints against the Backstreet Boys member. The archival extracts also seem to establish a link between this position and the problems of consumption and mental health of the rapper who died at the age of 34.
“ Fallen Idols explores the dark side of fame and difficult family dynamics, but also the intense challenges faced by accusers who denounce celebrities,” indicates the Investigation Discovery channel, in a press release.
Remember that in December 2022, the show team The week of the 4 Julies had decided not to air a special episode dedicated to the Backstreet Boys following accusations of sexual assault against Nick Carter.
Currently on a solo tour, the singer is scheduled to stop in Montreal next November.
