Fake photos: Images of Trump being arrested take over Twitter

Fake images showing former US President Donald Trump being arrested and fleeing authorities have taken over the web in anticipation of the charges that could be filed against him this week.

On Wednesday, we learned that the former president would like to put on a show and appear in court with his hands tied behind his back if he were to be formally accused of having bought the silence of a pornographic actress who had had a relationship.

It did not take more for Internet users to seize the web to publish a series of fake images, commonly called Deepfakes, showing the ex-president during his false arrest.

These have also been viewed more than four million times, according to “The Independent”.

In the pictures, we can see him fleeing and fighting against the police, or even see him dressed in an orange prisoner’s jumpsuit while he signs documents in a prison.

“Taking photos of Trump being arrested while waiting for Trump’s arrest,” wrote the author of the fake photos on Twitter.

Other fake footage also shows his wife, Melania Trump, and son, Donald Trump Jr., yelling at officers.

Donald Trump could be accused of falsifying business documents during his 2016 election campaign to hide bribes intended for adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

If indicted by the Manhattan grand jury, the 76-year-old would be the first US president to face criminal charges.
