Regarding the contract negotiations with Caufield, Gorton indicated that everything was going well and he is confident that the file will continue to progress well, smirking.

The 22-year-old American will be a restricted free agent on July 1, unless he agrees with the Habs by then.

In Farrell’s case, he said he had to face the Flyers, even though he had never practiced with his new teammates largely to allow him to experience his first game in the National Hockey League in front of his family.

In his first game, Farrell eventually clocked 13:03 on the ice and scored zero points.
