Facing the hot weather, the Limousins cool off at Lake Saint-Pardoux

Around the lake of Saint-Pardoux, hats, parasols and coolers are not too many. This weekend in May feels like summer, especially when temperatures approach 30 degrees in Haute-Vienne and exceed them in Corrèze.

It’s too hot to eat in the sun, explains Leila, who came with her friends, we eat our picnic in the shade and then we’ll go to the beach to sunbathe and swim.

Faced with this beautiful weather, it is no longer the raclette machine that we bring out on the tables, but the barbecues. But before taking out the courgettes and sausages to grill, Paul has cherries, strawberries and watermelon in his bag.

The sun is good for morale, says Leila. She enjoys with her friends the lake of Saint-Pardoux.

Although the records have not been broken, these temperatures are exceptionally above normal for the season. “Last month we had snow and today it’s almost 30 degrees, it’s beyond belief“, according to Alex. For Paul, student, “it’s hard to complain about this sun. It is good for morale, we can come and relax after class“.
