More than 15,000 Ukrainian refugees have already arrived in France. The government says it is ready to welcome 100,000. The Alpes-Maritimes is the first department to welcome refugees. The administration and the local authorities are calling for solidarity between the regions.

In front of the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes, the queue continues to grow. Several hundred Ukrainian refugees are waiting to access the counter specially set up for them. In the queue, women, children, few men. A Ukrainian, who has lived in France for several years, has managed to bring her grandparents.

AT near Nice, the toll of La Turbie has become one of the main entry points for Ukrainian refugees in France. Every day, 500 to 800 people pass through here. Some continue to Spain or Portugal. But many stay in Nice, where there is a large Ukrainian community. But today, mayor and prefect are asking for help from other departments.
