Fabrics in textile mode

First a fashion designer, Marie Dooley now invests her know-how and her knowledge of textiles in the creation of decorative objects cut, sewn and mounted by hand in her workshops in Quebec.

Launched seven years ago, its range of home accessories includes curtains, pouffes, cushions, tablecloths and bedding, to which is added this fall a collection of fabric paintings. The designer draws inspiration from modern art, she says. The result is an arrangement of textured materials in a graphic style that finds its place in contemporary environments.

By their composition, the canvases of Marie Dooley come with a bonus: acoustic properties which make it possible to slightly attenuate the sounds in rooms where reverberation is an irritating element. The collection comes in four sizes and multiple shades (starting at $380).
