The French Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) and Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing) shone on Sunday March 20 during the Indonesian Grand Prix, offering themselves a first podium in 2022. The two French drivers finished behind the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira ( KTM).
Starting in pole position, Quartararo had nevertheless made a complicated start, demoting to 5th place during the first lap. Withdrawn during the Qatar Grand Prix, the reigning world champion found rhythm, managing to get back on his opponents in the last three laps to finish second.
Johann Zarco, author of a very good race, is on the third step of the podium. The Pramac Racing driver thus retains his starting place and regains his colors after a lackluster first Grand Prix.
The pilots had an eventful Sunday with a delayed start due to rain. On a wet track, the race was on. Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing) notably made a mistake 13 laps from the finish.

During the warm up, it was the multiple world champion in MotoGP, Marc Marquez, who fell at the seventh corner. The Spaniard lost control of his motorcycle at more than 180 km/h before going into a glide. Dazed, the pilot managed to get up after his impressive fall, but was quickly evacuated to a hospital to check his state of health.
