In her book “Who wants the skin of press cartoons” (Eyrolles) which comes out on September 1, Fabienne Desseux evokes the enemies of this journalistic exercise. She presents her book on the set of 23 hours of engnceinfo saturday august 27th.

Invited on the set of the 23 Hours of franceinfo Saturday August 27, Fabienne Desseux is the author of Who wants the skin of the press cartoon, published by Eyrolles, which will be released on September 1st. She explains that the idea for this book came after the assassination of Samuel Paty. “What made me react were the words of religious representatives, of bishops who also began to say ‘there is blasphemy, there are people who should not be hurt too much, so we should maybe stop. I said to myself, in the end, everyone wants the skin of press cartoons”she says.

The author also returns to the difficulty that the profession of satirical cartoonist has become. “It’s a journalistic exercise. Me, I’ve loved it for years. It’s a form of journalism, it can be an editorial, it can be militant too, it can take many forms. It’s an extreme difficulty because you have to bounce back every day, every day there is news. You have to manage to be often funny, relevant, intelligent because it’s a real puzzle”describes Fabienne Desseux.
