Fabien Rajon will hand over in February 2023

“I am at the heart of a fairly intense legal year with 2 of the biggest trials at the national level – on the one hand the Lelandais case (he represented Maëlys’ mother, editor’s note) on the other hand the case of the attack in Nice which is currently before the specially composed Court of Assizes of Paris, emphasizes Fabien Rajon (…). I have to make a choice and this choice today is to give priority to my job as a lawyer.__” Fabien Rajon, elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2020 at the head of La Tour-du-Pin, is therefore preparing to step down as mayor. A decision that will be effective on January 1, 2023the time to organize his succession.

“I stay in the team”

But Fabien Rajon will remain a municipal and departmental councilor: “I stay in the team, I will be in a position of simple municipal councilor. My idea is to support the Turripinoise municipal team with kindness, without trying to pull the strings in any way. But if I can help them and bring my support, my experience, I will do it with pleasure” explains the chosen one.

Who, then, to replace him as mayor? “It’s up to the team to decide, says Fabien Rajon. I have been trying for some time – and it was also linked to my professional imperatives and to and to my agenda as a lawyer – to allow the assistants who so wished to gain visibility, to have space to be able to work. I think that my first deputy Claire Durand, through her integrity and her involvement in the Turripine municipality, her link also with the city, has every chance of successfully running for this position.”
