The Six Nations Tournament has not yet started and the Covid is already coming to spoil the holidays. Friday February 4, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) announced that Fabien Galthié had tested positive. “This morning I tested positive for Covid-19. I’m fine with mild symptoms“, confirmed the coach on his Twitter account.

Fabien Galthié has been placed in solitary confinement in accordance with the health protocol applicable to positive people, and will therefore not be able to take his place in the stands of the Stade de France for the first match of the Tournoi des Bleus against Italy, Sunday (4 p.m. ). He will be replaced by the manager Raphael Ibanez and all the staff. He will only be able to find the group from February 8, if a test proves negative, or from February 10.

The Federation specifies that the “tests carried out this morning at 8:30 a.m. for the entire France group have determined that no other member of the France group is positive to date.“A new battery of tests will be carried out on the whole group on Saturday, the day before the match.
