Extinction of voice | Charlotte Cardin postpones her European tour

Discomforted by a loss of voice, Montreal singer Charlotte Cardin announced Monday the postponement of all her shows in France and Belgium.

Already last Friday, the artist wrote to her admirers in Bordeaux and Toulouse that she had to cancel the concerts planned for the same evening and the next day for medical reasons. “I consulted three specialists today, and after being examined by an ENT in Bordeaux, I was told that I absolutely needed to rest my voice more otherwise my condition would risk greatly worsening. I am sorry and so disappointed. »

The situation did not improve during the weekend, which means that Charlotte Cardin will not be able to take the stage as planned in the five other European cities which were to welcome her in the coming days.

“It is with regret that I have to cancel all my concerts this week for medical reasons. As you know, I completely lost my voice last Friday and, despite having rested all weekend, my body is slow to recover,” she wrote on her social networks Monday morning.

The performances planned in Liège, Lille, Caen, Rennes and La Roche-sur-Yon are postponed and the singer assures her admirers that new dates will be announced as soon as possible. “I’m sorry, I really feel like I’m letting you down and it saddens me a lot,” she adds.

Charlotte Cardin was able to give two concerts in France at the beginning of last week before falling ill. One of these sold-out performances was held at the famous Olympia in Paris. “I’m speechless,” she simply commented in an Instagram post the day after this first concert in the legendary venue.

The Montrealer will return to France, to the Zénith this time, next December. In the meantime, she is expected at Place Bell in Laval, for four shows in a row, between February 8 and 11.
