Extensions until March 6 for the Paris ball in virtual reality

Blanca Li continues to amaze us with a wonderful ball in virtual reality

The immersive experience allows you to choose your outfit, signed Chanel, black tuxedo or tight sheath, white dress with camellia… It’s the start of a whirlwind that will dazzle your eyes, with a cruise in the middle of giant water lilies, a ball whose the dancers have animal heads, shot in a scintillating Parisian cabaret. Two real artists take on the role of multiple characters and dance in front of you and with you, a dazzling experience for dance fans. This living virtual reality show is the work of choreographer Blanca Li, who worked on this project for three years with the BackLight studio and the patronage of Chanel. After having started with content for businesses, the studio has indeed moved towards the gaming and entertainment sector. Today, 100 cinemas around the world, including around ten in the Paris region, use the content created by BackLight. With the live performance, the studio had to innovate to integrate the innovative ideas of the choreographer. For example, it was necessary to create a labyrinth which is built as you progress. The ball ends on March 6. The creation of this show, which mobilized around fifty people, cost nearly 2 million euros. “We climbed the mountain together, says Blanca Li. In the end, that’s what I wanted: people dream, share this dream, and laugh too. »
