The organizers of Expo habitat Quebec announced Thursday the cancellation of the event which was to take place from February 24 to 27. Even if no one can predict the sanitary measures that will be in effect at the end of next month, its promoter, The Association of professionals of construction and housing (APCHQ) – Quebec region, judged the context “of less and less favorable to this type of gathering ”.
The general director of APCHQ-Quebec, Martine Savard, clarified that the decision to cancel the February meeting was of course difficult. The tightening of sanitary measures however no longer fit, according to her, with the will of the organization to hold a “brilliant” and “stimulating” event for the housing market in the Quebec region.
