Edenred+ is a groundbreaking mobile app offering users access to both virtual and physical payment cards, enhancing convenience in employee benefits. To transition from MyEdenred, users need to download the new app, as balances won’t transfer. While they can use both cards, future transactions will occur solely in Edenred+. The app promises a user-friendly experience but requires separate customer support for each service. Bonuses of up to 180 euros are available for new online bank accounts.
Introducing Edenred+: A New Era in Payment Solutions
Edenred+ is an innovative mobile application designed to provide users with access to both virtual and physical payment cards. This exciting transition from the previous system necessitates some adjustments for clients. Here’s what you need to know.
What to Expect with Edenred+
Edenred+, the latest offering from a leading player in the meal voucher sector, is all about convenience. The application features a fully virtual payment card, an option for a physical card, or the ability to use both. In an email announcing the service, Edenred described it as “an almost magical card.” To obtain a physical card, employees need to request it through the app, with their employers covering the associated costs. The card will then arrive within a timeframe of 5 to 10 days.
In the future, Edenred+ is set to take over MyEdenred. According to the Edenred+ FAQ, “Edenred+ brings you into a new dimension of employee benefits: a turnkey solution designed to provide you with more comfort with less effort.”
Understanding the Transition from MyEdenred
Before you can fully benefit from the new features activated by your employer, there are necessary steps to undertake. First, you must download the Edenred+ app. For those who currently hold a MyEdenred account and card, the MyEdenred application does not facilitate the switch to Edenred+, which means users will have to manage two applications and two cards simultaneously. Unfortunately, the balance from the MyEdenred account will not be migrated to Edenred+.
There’s no need for concern, as you can continue using your MyEdenred card until the balance runs out or the card expires. However, any future transactions will only be reflected in the Edenred+ application, utilizing the new virtual or physical card. A silver lining of this transition is that having both cards allows users to enjoy a combined daily spending limit of 25 euros in meal vouchers, effectively allowing for up to 50 euros in daily spending until the MyEdenred balance is depleted.
At first glance, distinguishing between MyEdenred and Edenred+ might be challenging, aside from the refreshed mobile app design and the option for a physical card. Additionally, customer service is not unified; inquiries to MyEdenred’s support team will direct you to a separate number for Edenred+ assistance.
We reached out to Edenred on November 26 to gain insight into the objectives behind Edenred+ and the rationale for not maintaining the same application and payment card. We are currently awaiting a response and will update the article with any new information.
