Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, A Working Man is expected to hit theaters in the U.S., but a release date for France remains unconfirmed.
The Beekeeper Sequel on the Horizon
Action enthusiasts may recognize similarities between A Working Man and Statham’s previous film, The Beekeeper. However, rest assured that A Working Man is not a sequel; The Beekeeper 2 is also in the works!
This sequel will bring back Statham as a former agent of the secretive organization known as the ‘Beekeepers,’ who returns to exact revenge for the woman he works for. Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto, known for his work on Headshot and The Night Comes for Us, will be at the helm. Filming for this sequel is slated to commence next fall.
Statham’s Collaboration with Jean-François Richet
Starting January 9, 2026, Jason Statham will join forces with French director Jean-François Richet in a new action thriller. Richet, who previously directed stars like Mel Gibson and Gerard Butler, will guide Statham in the film Mutiny.
This gripping story follows Cole Reed (Statham), a man wrongfully accused of killing his boss, as he goes on the run to uncover an international conspiracy. He will face off against Danish actor Roland Møller, who plays the villain, with a talented supporting cast that includes Annabelle Wallis, Lee Charles, and Adrian Lester.
Recent Projects with Ric Roman Waugh
Statham has recently wrapped filming a project with director Ric Roman Waugh, known for films like The Fall of the President and Greenland. In this new film, he portrays Mason, a man with a troubled past living in isolation on a Scottish island. After rescuing a young girl from a stormy sea, he inadvertently sets off a chain of violent events.
While a release date for this film remains undisclosed, Statham will also reprise his iconic role as Deckard Shaw in the upcoming addition to the blockbuster franchise, Fast & Furious 11, directed by Louis Leterrier.
