For the first time this year, France Bleu Isère invites you to meet guests every day who will perform on the stage of the Palais des sports the same evening. Detainees at Mont Blanc

This Tuesday, we will follow, for example, the journey of three prisoners who will attempt the ascent of Mont Blanc as part of a reintegration program. The directors Clément Chauveau and Fabien Douillard told this story in a very beautiful documentary entitled “Vertigo, a step towards freedom”
screened in the evening at the Palais des Sports.

In the Cinémontagne podcast, we will give the floor to Michel, a former prisoner who took part in the adventure, as well as to Bastien, guide for the association “En passant pour la montagne”.

A 4 kilo bag for a 1,300 km trip!

On Wednesday, leaving the high altitude, we will go 1,000 meters underground to talk about the Caving Rescue Isère which has just celebrated its 50th anniversary and which the festival honors by screening the film “Gaïa, solidarity of the depths”. In this episode we will be with France Rocourt, doctor and key figure in mountain rescue in Isère.

The next day, Thursday November 10, we will meet Jérémy Bigé, a young explorer from Grenoble who crossed the Balkans alone and with a 4-kilo backpack for all the money! His film “Sur le fil des Balkans” was selected for the Mountain Cinema Meetings.

Friday, November 11, we will focus on environmental issues with a film broadcast in the afternoon, at 2 p.m., at the Maison de la Montagne in Grenoble. “The white gold of the Alps”
mentions in particular the plastic pollution that we find… in the water of the glaciers! Jean-Baptiste Bosson, glaciologist, and Mathieu Navillod, professional skier, will be the guests of the Cinémontagne podcast this Friday to discuss both the importance of glaciers in our lives, and the impact of recreation on climate change.

The 3 legendary North faces of the Alps

Finally, on Saturday November 12, we will give pride of place to great mountaineering, in the purest tradition of exploits in the high mountains.

Benjamin Védrines and Sébastien Ratel will tell us about their sequence: in the space of a month and in the heart of winter, in the company of their comrade Léo Billon, they climbed three extremely difficult direct routes in the three mythical North faces of the Alps: the Grandes Jorasses (4,208 meters), the Matterhorn (4,478 meters), and the Eiger (3,970 meters). An immersion in the very high difficulty that we will share with the director Christophe Raylat.

The Cinémontagne podcast by France Bleu Isère will be put online every day at 6 p.m., from November 8 to 12. And you can of course listen to it again in replay as you see fit! You will also find the complete program of the Mountain Cinema Meetings of Grenoble by clicking on this link.
