Expenditures at the Public Consultation Office | The Secretary General currently in Brazil

The secretary general of the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM), at the center of an expense account scandal, is currently in Brazil.

Guy Grenier, whose travel and restaurant expenses have been pinned down by Quebecor since last Friday, is participating in an international conference in Rio de Janeiro.

He participates in a 45-minute panel concerning the recent creation of the Longueuil Public Participation Office. The president of this organization, Julie Caron-Malenfant, also takes part in the event, hosted by Élise Naud, one of her employees.

Quebecor revealed a few days ago that with barely fifteen employees, the OCPM was the City of Montreal service that cost the most in representation expenses. The organization’s staff visited Spain, Mexico, Brazil, England, Tunisia, Morocco, Australia, Switzerland, Ivory Coast and Mozambique.

Tuesday, the mayor of Montreal asked the OCPM to recall its secretary general to the fold.

“It’s unacceptable that he’s out there right now. He should be here answering questions,” Mr.me Plant.

The mayor strongly criticized the attitude of the president of the OCPM, Isabelle Beaulieu, who “even escaped” in front of the TVA cameras, she underlined. “I am extremely disappointed, we have not heard her in any way. »

Furthermore, Mme Plante continued to unreservedly support the president of his executive committee, Dominique Ollivier, who led the OCPM from 2014 to 2021.
