Direct descendant of the Veyron, the proud creation of Ferdinand Piëch born in 2005 and which captivated the collective automotive universe, the Chiron will also have left its mark, without being as remarkable as the one that preceded it. It was so named in honor of Louis Chiron, a talented Monegasque pilot who died in 1979.

The Chiron will also have left its mark, without being as remarkable as the one that preceded it (the Veyron).

Relying on an updated approach, but above all on the emblematic 8 L W16 stuffed with four 1479 hp turbochargers, the model continued to collect superlatives with limited editions. It was the calling card of the Volkswagen group, capable of reaching 420 km/h with ease after completing a 0-100 km/h in 2.4 s and a 0-200 km/h in 6.1 s. . Its assembly, however, takes much longer. According to Bugatti, each Chiron takes up to six months to wait before being delivered.

Now that the automotive planet is turning to electric in a frantic race to meet progressive new standards, this kind of vehicle is doomed to the retrospective books. Bugatti knows this well, having come under the control of the young Croatian electric vehicle manufacturer Rimac last November.

We are therefore preparing a fully electric future for this French automotive jewel, but the transition should be made by the hybrid, if we rely on various information circulating in European media.
