exit Sylvie Tellier, Jean-Pierre Foucault takes the lead with Cindy Fabre

A photo that is worth all the talk and denials… Exit Sylvie Tellier and hello Cindy Fabre! As for Jean-Pierre Foucault, he remains unbeatable! Spread the word, Alexia Laroche-Joubert prefers to be transparent on her Instagram account rather than spending her time giving interviews. Around a table on a sunny terrace, is therefore in the foreground the famous host of TF1, Jean-Pierre Foucault. Victim his last months of many rumors that wanted him to be replaced by Nikos or Camille Combal at the historic presentation of the evening of Miss France, the latter appears to deny, serene and smiling, to all of his detractors. Behind him, just as smiling, Fréderic Gilbert, long artistic director of the great television show of 2h40 and today producer of the latter. Finally, opposite these two work “colleagues”, Cindy Fabre who officially succeeds Sylvie Tellier. It is indeed this Miss France 2005 who has been chosen for a long time by the director Alexia Laroche-Joubert to fulfill the functions of the former Miss France 2002 who will nevertheless remain present “in consulting” until December for the election of the new beauty queen 2023.

“Miss France, it’s not just controversy”

If the atmosphere seems relaxed and rather informal, it is because the director also intends to show everyone the evolution of her competition, often considered archaic, even retrograde. In October 2021, following the action of “Osez le féminisme” which denounced, among other things, the obligation of celibacy for candidates and the ban on tattoos, the 52-year-old former journalist already tempered her speech: “Miss France represents elegance, charm and empathy (…) some criteria may seem outdated. The word celibate, too legal, was not well understood. (…) We are a little too restrictive on tattoos but we must first discuss the selection criteria with the regional committees which first select the candidates.” She was backed by the show’s producer, Frédéric Gilbert who defended this televised contest which is watched each year by 10.5 million people: “Miss France, it’s not just controversy. It’s also one of the biggest shows on television.. So here is a first working meeting smiling and under the sun which augurs a new era within the Miss!
