Temperatures are fine as the year 2022 begins. Many French people took advantage on Saturday 1er January.
In swimsuits and Santa Claus caps on their heads, some took to the sea for the first swim of the year, Saturday 1er January, in Argelès-sur-Mer (Pyrénées-Orientales). Water at twelve degrees that does not slow down swimmers. “It hits you, that’s for sure. But once you’re there, you’re good, and especially when you come out”, says a participant. Others prefer to walk on the beach and breathe in the open air, without a mask.
Mont Saint-Michel (Manche) attracts Parisians and other tourists, thanks to the mild weather. “There are not many people, the weather is nice, it was time“, confides a passer-by. In Reims, we enjoy the sun on the terrace but we also ask ourselves questions:”It’s unusual, normally we should be in the snow, so it’s a bit disturbing but it’s nice“.
