The native of Saint-Hyacinthe will receive $750,000 if he plays in the Bettman circuit.
This agreement is therefore valid until the end of this campaign. The 26-year-old Desrosiers has defended the net for the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League four times this season. He had a 2.54 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
The Jets also submitted his name on waivers in order to return it to the Moose.
His record is a little less brilliant with the team from Trois-Rivières, with whom he posted a record of 15-11-0, an average of 3.38 and an efficiency rate of .892.
A former goalkeeper for the Rimouski Oceanic, Desrosiers was drafted in the second round by the Dallas Stars at the 2013 auction. He has never played in a game in the National Hockey League.
