Paul Serge Forest’s novel Everything is ori, published this spring by VLB publisher and winner of the Robert-Cliche prize for the 2021 first novel, will be brought to the screen by Couronne Nord, in collaboration with Quebecor Content and TVA Films.
The film will be written by Patrice Laliberté and Guillaume Laurin, with contributions from Paul Serge Forest. The Couronne Nord team was in Baie-Trinité, on the North Shore in October, to start writing the script to put the project into production in 2022. The production was entrusted to Patrice Laliberté and the production, to Julie Groleau.
Everything is ori is a crazy family saga that unfolds around the Lelarges, owners of a major seafood processing plant on the North Shore, whose daily life takes on a new path with the arrival of a visitor linked to a mysterious conglomerate Japanese.
Author Paul Serge Forest won the Francophone Writers’ Award of Excellence for his novel last October. Everything is ori was also among the finalists for the Governor General’s Literary Awards 2021, as critics from Press had called it “abundant and elusive, as unsettling as it is irresistible.”
