“Anything I can do to bring people together instead of dividing them, I will do it.”assured the president of the MoDem François Bayrou on Saturday July 13 on franceinfo, not ruling out assuming the role of Prime Minister if the president offered it to him.

“I will do everything I can to ensure that France has a government worthy of the name (…) to straighten out the country in such serious circumstances.”continues François Bayrou. “What we have been experiencing for the past week gives our country, our democracy, an image that is not flattering.”deplores the president of the MoDem.

For François Bayrou, introducing a dose of proportional representation in the legislative elections has become “unavoidable”. “This is the project I have been fighting for for 20 years. This time, it seems inevitable to me.”he concluded.
