The reintegration of non-vaccinated caregivers in France “everyone in the hospital doesn’t care”, said on franceinfo Tuesday May 2 Benjamin Davido, infectious disease specialist at Raymond-Poincaré hospital in Garches. He considers this return marginal as the Minister of Health announced their reinstatement “mid-may” thus following the advice of the High Authority for Health. “To my knowledge in my establishment”no caregiver wants “come back to work for the few who have deserted the establishment”he said.

According to him, most have moved on: “These people did not work for three years and for the most part changed jobs, changed paths and above all lost confidence in science, in vaccination and somewhere in the sick. Whether “you consider the vaccine to be nonsense, you have lost this fiber, this very strong bond that binds you to the teams, to science and to the caregivers”adds Benjamin Davido.

“The page” of Covid-19 is not turned, warns the infectiologist

In addition, Benjamin Davido is delighted that the epidemic is “globally controlled”but on the other hand, he does not believe in “the end of the pandemic in the strict sense”. That is why “this reintegration of caregivers should not be a message sent” according to which “the page is definitely turned”.

In the midst of a pandemic, 15 to 20 million French people had priority for vaccination: “We unfortunately end up with fragile people who can always have serious forms”, he warns. According to him, the “sinews of war”is that the two annual vaccination campaigns planned by the government in the spring and autumn for the over 80s “find their audience”.
