As part of the 150e anniversary of the Jean-Drapeau park, the pretty Floralies Gardens host the Gourmet Meetings all weekend.
Six Montreal chefs will be offering a barbecue menu that is not to be missed. They are Oussama Ben Tafous (Roch le coq), Phong Thach (Kaiji sushi and Sogen sushi) and Sarina Yoth, Eric Ku (Dobe & Andy), Paul Toussaint (Kamúy) in duo with chef André Sterling, Antoine Bériault (Aylwin BBQ) and Guillaume Daly (Sousbois).
Two options are available: you can order à la carte or buy the gourmet passport ($55) giving access to six exclusive dishes.
For Sunday brunch, a 3,000-egg omelette will be prepared by La Confrérie de l’omelette géante de Granby. A thousand mouths will be able to enjoy it, free of charge, to the sound of music by the Dusty Brass Band. The activity will include a workshop on food waste with La Tablée des Chefs.
Food trucks will also be on site during the weekend to feed as many people as possible outdoors.
