Eve Angeli grandmother before being a mother, she will be entitled to a curious nickname (EXCLUDED)

Purepeople: You have a lot of news for this start of the 2022 school year!

Eve Angeli: It’s true! There is the release of the single I spread, November 4. The physical album, with 12 previously unreleased tracks, will be released on November 25. And I’m giving a concert on November 19 in Paris, at the Théâtre des Etoiles. It will be live, with several musicians, and it will be both the songs we know, Before leaving, La Felicita, and the new album. I also reserve some rock surprises. It will be a 100% live concert and 100% hits.

What can you tell us about this new album?

I have been given some great gifts on this album. I was offered the title My life in my hands, which is written by songwriters who have collaborated with Johnny Hallyday, Kamil Rustam and Isabelle Bernal. I also worked with Sting’s drummer, Vinnie Colaiuta. This is the first album that I really self-produce on my own. It is 100% diary, it reflects my personality with texts that I wrote for the most part. I talk about my new life, the fact that I met the man of my life. It’s autobiographical.

What relationship do you have with your husband’s daughters?

I’m lucky to get along wonderfully with both of them. I met them when the youngest was 15. Today she is 20 years old and the oldest is 24 years old. We have a relationship of complicity, a little “older sister“, even if we don’t see each other all the time, since they are in the Paris region. What’s great is that they didn’t know me too well before I met their father. They were very young when I I had my big hit. So they had no preconceptions, just like their father. He had passed by, he had to live in a cave! He just remembered that I was blonde with a cowboy hat .

You recently became a step-grandmother. How do you live this new status?

I admit that at first it shocked me. I said to myself that I was a grandmother by marriage before being a mother, that was my first reaction. And suddenly I admit that I did not want the nickname “granny“. I prefer “nanny“It’s the Italian side,”nonna“, and I find that cuter. At the same time, having this baby in the family is a way of being able to give big hugs, to receive beautiful photos, and then it’s the blood of the man that I love so it’s my family too.

Where are you with your childhood project?

It’s still an obsession for me. The hardest thing is not to focus. On the other hand, I don’t want to implement the scientific side, “not natural“. I let time, nature take its course, and if it doesn’t happen, it’s because somewhere it wasn’t written.

You recently mentioned the idea of adopting…

I am 42 years old, I know women who got pregnant naturally at 44 so for the moment I am thinking more about that way. In a year or two, if nothing happens, I hope I’ll still be eligible for adoption. There are plenty of factors to consider.
