The trial lasted 14 months, and the former officer of a Franco-German unit was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. In Poland, Justyna Wydrzynska, a pro-abortion activist, is being prosecuted for giving abortion pills to a woman who wanted to end her pregnancy. When her husband found out, he filed a complaint. Justyna Wydrzynska faces up to three years in prison. Since 2020, despite the protests, Poland has implemented one of the most restrictive abortion laws in Europe. Finally, Hungary is hit by drought. Lakes and water bodies are at their lowest, and farmers are anticipating crop failures.
