Accused of discrediting the army, he denied it altogether. “What is happening right now is completely illegal. I did not do anything wrong”did he declare. The man has already been fined several times for condemning the offensive in Ukraine. Even though he was released, he faces up to five years in prison under the new law against discrediting the army.
In the Netherlands, a baby died in a refugee camp, in a tent. The situation in this camp, the country’s main refugee centre, is dramatic. “It looks like the worst moment of the migration crisis in the Greek islands”says Judith Sargentini of Doctors Without Borders. Finally, in the United Kingdom, a nine-year-old girl was the victim of a settling of accounts between gangs. She was killed in her own home by a gunman who was chasing another thug. The police are determined to find the suspect.
