European Union countries urged to save gas

Europe will have to save gas. “Because if the Nord Stream gas pipeline has resumed, it is only operating at 40% of its capacity, and above all political uncertainty remains, affirms this morning the president of the German Network Agency “reports, Thursday July 21, the journalist Julien Gasparutto, of France Televisions Brussels.

Indeed, Russia, which “use gas as a weapon to destabilize Europe”has already “cut the floodgates to twelve countries. In Brussels, we fear a general cut in the coming weeks, or the next few months”, continues the journalist. The European Commission is therefore asking Member States to reduce their gas consumption by 15%, and this “as quickly as possible”. The objective is to replenish stocks, in order to avoid shortages, which could be “disastrous” for the European economy.
