Etoile lavalloise falls heavily in Mouvaux

Etoile Laval lost again to Lille Mouvaux this Saturday (5-0). At the defending vice-champion of France, the Mayennais had yet made a good start to the match.

From the start of the meeting, André Vanderlei offered an interesting tactical bet: power-play. After 6 minutes of play, Louis Marquet came out of his goals and gave way to a fifth player on the field. A scheme that aimed to attract Mouvaux players out of their half of the field.

A red card that changes everything

If everything went pretty well and Laval was in the game, the match referee would change everything. On an innocuous action, where Diego Napoles was struck by an opponent, the referee took out a yellow card for simulation. The second warning of the game for the Laval resident who saw red. In inferiority, the Star conceded a goal in stride and was never going to be in the game again.

Lille unrolled their score and the assaults followed on Louis Marquet’s goal. In the end, the locals passed five to a Laval team which did not score for the first time this season.
