We are with Etienne, our Norman from the end of the world from Caen. He arrived in New Caledonia two years ago for an internship as part of his master’s degree in computer science. And he decided to extend his stay. It must be said that the place is heavenly with its lagoons, the water always at a pleasant temperature, nature reserves and a provincial park with hiking trails.
New Caledonia is a main island of 400 km from north to south, Grande Terre, an island which measures at its widest point, 64 km. To the east, about a hundred kilometers away are the Loyalty Islands in the Coral Sea. And if you continue for 1300 km, in this direction, you will reach the Fiji Islands.
