Ethik and Trips, born from the imagination of a young woman passionate about travel but who worked in construction, wants to be the first collaborative platform for access to sustainable tourism.“We connect ‘explorers’ – that’s what I call travelers who want to travel better – with sustainable tourism professionals.” Explain Anne Chène who, to select her hotels, campsites, guest houses, cottages and even youth hostels, has defined eight criteria which guarantee that they respect the criteria of responsible tourism: “These are simple daily criteria because my philosophy is not to do to others what you don’t do to yourself.”
Ethik and Trips now lists 360 addresses in France, Europe and the rest of the world, and promises to expand very quickly. After having raised 130,000 euros of “love money”, from benevolent investors, Anne Chène is preparing to move on to a second fundraiser. She has recruited two people and is looking for a right arm.
