(Waterloo) A motorcyclist in her fifties lost her life after a collision that occurred Sunday in Waterloo, in the Eastern Townships.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m., according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
According to initial information gathered by the police, the motorcyclist was riding on Dalton Street and collided with a vehicle that was riding on Route 112.
The latter was transported to a hospital where her death was confirmed, said Adam Marineau, spokesperson for the SQ.
He added that a police officer trained in collision investigation went to the scene in order to shed light on the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.
Route 112 had been closed to allow police to carry out their investigation, but has now reopened.
