(Montreal) The gala featuring the duel between Erik Bazinyan and Shakeel Phinn for the NABF and WBA International super-middleweight titles scheduled for April 11 at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal has been postponed, Eye of the Tiger Management announced via press release Monday morning.
EOTTM specified that the gala will be postponed to May 2, at the same location, since the 28-year-old Quebec boxer “has been bothered by sinusitis for a few days.”
“We waited a few days before making the decision, hoping that his antibiotics would get him back on his feet, but unfortunately this is not the case and he is still in too bad shape,” said EOTTM general director Antonin Décarie.
Tickets for the gala initially scheduled for April 11 will be honored on May 2. Additionally, the deadline for refund requests is April 19.
