The mayor of Grenoble Eric Piolle has been released in the affair of the Fête des Tuiles. The deliberation was delivered on Tuesday afternoon by the Valencia court, a month after the hearing. The other defendants are also released, former territorial agents as well as the Fusées association to which the market was awarded in 2015 and 2016. A market awarded directly, without going through a call for tenders. Eric Piolle had therefore been prosecuted for suspicion of favoritism.
The court partly followed the requisitions of the prosecution, which had not requested any penalty against Eric Piolle. On the other hand, fines had been requested against two former territorial agents of the town hall of Grenoble.
Eric Piolle was not present at the time of the deliberation, he was represented by his lawyer.
