“You always have to listen to the basics.” The Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti will receive on Friday the signatories of a forum in which more than 3,000 magistrates denounce their working conditions and shout their growing discomfort, he said Thursday, November 25 on LCI. Among the guests, the Minister of Justice cited magistrates of the bench and the prosecution, judges of the enforcement of sentences and investigating judges so that it is “eclectic and representative”. He did not say whether he would also invite representatives of professional organizations.

The text, published by the daily The world, has been signed by more than 3,280 magistrates, or more than a third of the profession. “This platform is important, by the number of signatories, it is original in the sense that it is not something union if I dare say, it is the base and we must always listen to the base”, underlined the Minister of Justice. “There emerges from this forum an almost existential difficulty”, said Eric Dupond-Moretti, recalling that the questions raised therein, in particular those of means and “the consideration that we owe to magistrates and that is falling apart”, are discussed within the framework of the Estates General of Justice, launched on October 18.
