In the campaign for the legislative elections, the Keeper of the Seals Eric Dupond-Moretti, was taken to task on Monday May 30 by a far-right activist and filed S in Val-d’Oise. The Minister of Justice was traveling to Ermont to support MP Naïma Moutchou, candidate for re-election in the 4th district of the department.
“They were strolling and chatting with local residents and activists when a person mingled with the crowd shouted at him from quite a distance”, explains Monday a member of the entourage of the Minister of Justice to franceinfo. This man has “screamed in particular names of well-known far-right identities and that of Damien Rieu, Reconquest candidate in the Alpes-Maritime”. He was checked and arrested by the police who found a knife on him.
I want to thank the security forces for having arrested this individual, an extreme right-wing activist and an S file, who apparently wanted to do battle with us while we were talking peacefully with residents in #Ermont.
We will not give in to intimidation. @E_DupondM https://t.co/Ccl24es1Tb
