Eric Dupond-Moretti, Elisabeth Borne, Jean-Michel Blanquer… the candidacies of outgoing ministers

Eric Dupond-Moretti in the North, Elisabeth Borne in Calvados, Jean-Michel Blanquer in Loiret… Government ministers are embarking on the campaign for the legislative elections in June. According to information from France Inter Thursday, April 28, the Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti will be a candidate in the North, in Hazebrouck. This 15th district of the department is occupied today by an ex-LREM, Jennifer de Temmerman. She slammed the door of the presidential party three years ago after beating the RN in a duel. The Keeper of the Seals already came to campaign in this constituency 15 days ago with Richard Ferrand and Gérald Darmanin.

Jean-Michel Blanquer will present himself in the 4th constituency of Loiret, in Montargis. The Minister of National Education will run for this constituency held so far by an LR figure, Jean-Pierre Door, who, at 80 and at the end of his 4th term, hangs up the gloves. The Minister Delegate for Industry Agnès Pannier-Runacher, originally from Paris, will be a candidate for Lens. She will try to bring down an RN deputy, Emmanuel Blairy, in the 3rd district, neighboring Marine Le Pen.

Elisabeth Borne has set her sights on the 6th constituency of Calvados, where the outgoing LREM deputy, Alain Tourret, is not standing. The Minister of Labor is targeting a rural bocage area, south of Caen, whose best-known town is Vire.
Sophie Cluzel, Secretary of State in charge of disability, will be a candidate in Haute-Savoie, in the 2nd constituency, that of Annecy, currently held by Frédérique Lardet, who had left the presidential party for lack of municipal nomination.

The Minister Delegate for Housing, Emmanuelle Wargon will run for a post of deputy in Val-de-Marne, her department. She will be a candidate in the 8th constituency, that of Maisons-Alfort, Charenton and Joinville, a constituency in the hands of LR Michel Herbillon since 1997. At 71, he is again a candidate.
Clément Beaune, the Secretary of State for European Affairs, close to Emmanuel Macron, will embark on the 7th district of Paris. He benefits from the departure of LREM deputy Pacôme Rupin, and should face the EELV deputy to the town hall of Paris, David Belliard.

In Paris, Secretary of State Olivia Grégoire will once again be a candidate for re-election. Just like a dozen other ministers: Marc Fesneau (Loir-et-Cher), Gabriel Attal, Adrien Taquet (Hauts-de-Seine), Olivier Véran (Isère), Amélie de Montchalin (Essonne), Joël Giraud (Hautes- Alps), Laurent Pietraszewski (North), Nadia Hai (Yvelines), Franck Riester (Seine-et-Marne) and Bérangère Abba (Haute-Marne).

Finally Bruno Le Maire should be a candidate again in the Eure, and Gérald Darmanin in Tourcoing. The Minister of Agriculture Julien Denormandie, like the Minister Delegate in charge of Citizenship Marlène Schiappa will not be candidates in the legislative elections. Barbara Pompili, at Ecology, still hesitates to return to the Somme.
