Éric Chacour and Lucy Fricke on the first list of the Femina Prize

It’s a double for Quebec author Éric Chacour. His first novel, What I know about you, published in Quebec by Editions Alto and in France by Philippe Rey, is included in the first selection for the Femina Prize, in the “French novels” category. This news comes a few days after the writer’s nomination for the first selection of the Renaudot prize.

Éric Chacour is not the only Quebec presence in this first Femina selection. The novelThe diplomat by Lucy Fricke – translated into French by Éditions du Quartanier (translation by Isabelle Liber) – is also in the running in the “foreign novels” section.

The second Femina selection will take place on October 3, before the unveiling of the final list scheduled for October 24. The winners will be announced on November 6.
