Cider lovers, there’s a new one to add to your list! Located in Farham, the Equinoxe cider farm is the brainchild of Marc-Antoine Arseneault-Chiasson and Audrey-Ann Lussier.

Two years ago, when they were still students (he, in agronomy, and she, in law), they acquired an almost century-old orchard in Farnham.

Passionate about cider and organic farming, the couple undertook to convert 3,500 fruit trees to organic. Since last week, the cider house has been welcoming the public to its bucolic facilities, from Thursday to Sunday.

On site, it is possible to taste its range of natural ciders, all fermented naturally, without input, sulphite or filtration, and also to take a guided tour for those who would like to know more.

Peckish ? Luckily, the cider works with three restaurants in the region: La Famille Buvette, L’Archipel and Passe-Montagne. Alternately, each week they will offer a delicious locally sourced picnic basket for two, at a cost of $50, which includes a bottle of cider of your choice. A small gourmet shop allows you to complete with sausages and cheeses from the region.
