Zoé’s Counter-Christmas Celebration
At the Institute, Solal grapples with guilt after Zoé is removed from the Christmas brigade due to his actions. He also realizes that this will be the Lanneau family’s first Christmas without their father. Maya suggests he should share his feelings with Zoé to help her understand the situation better, but Solal feels it’s too late since she is now with Gary, the partner she has always desired. Meanwhile, Lionel encourages Solal to return to the Christmas brigade, and he ultimately agrees.
Meanwhile, Gary finds Zoé in the studio, where she expresses her anger towards Lionel and Solal, declaring her refusal to celebrate Christmas this year. In a twist, Gary proposes they spend Christmas Eve together, but Zoé has a different plan: to host a counter-Christmas featuring a grand feast for their friends. Gary enthusiastically supports her idea.
As word of Zoé’s counter-Christmas invitation spreads like wildfire among the students, Lionel becomes furious. To de-escalate the situation, Solal steps up to speak with Zoé.
When Solal meets Zoé in the park, he warns her about the potential backlash from Teyssier due to her counter-Christmas plans. However, Zoé is not receptive to his concerns; she’s upset with him for his earlier comments to her brother and for her dismissal from the brigade. While Solal offers an apology, he refrains from revealing the entire truth.
In an unexpected turn, Teyssier shows a keen interest in Zoé and Gary’s counter-Christmas. He visits them in the studio to learn more about their vision. Zoé shares her idea for a gourmet outdoor picnic, aimed at creating a cozy atmosphere. Teyssier approves her plan, but with the stipulation that she must assemble a capable brigade. Zoé and Gary then recruit Emi, who eagerly agrees to join their endeavor.
Accompanied by Zoé and Gary, Teyssier heads to the kitchen, where Clotilde is updating Lionel and Solal. Teyssier suggests replacing Lionel’s brigade with Zoé’s, but Clotilde firmly opposes the idea, wishing to uphold the Institute’s Christmas traditions.
To persuade her, Teyssier proposes giving each brigade three days to pitch their menu. After tasting the offerings, he and Clotilde will select the best one…
Vic and Enzo’s Gesture for Anaïs
At the marshes’ apartment, Anaïs confronts Vic and Enzo about their previous day’s deception. She knows they backed out of her Christmas dinner to avoid Milan, and she expresses her disappointment, especially since all other guests canceled, leading to the dinner’s cancellation.
At the Institute, Milan encounters Vic and Enzo and seizes the chance to reprimand them for letting Anaïs down, who had gone to great lengths to organize the festive dinner. He emphasizes that it would have meant a lot to her, particularly after her recent struggles with hearing loss. Milan proposes surprising Anaïs to make amends.
Eventually, Vic and Enzo agree to collaborate with Milan to organize a special dinner for Anaïs, who is genuinely touched by their efforts.
At the dinner’s conclusion, Milan sincerely apologizes to Enzo for the challenges he caused over the summer, also extending his apologies to Vic. He expresses a desire to rekindle their friendship.
Gaspard Receives Recognition
During lunch, Alice finds Gaspard eating alone in the park. He expresses regret for getting involved in matters that weren’t his concern, sharing his fears that Alice might be manipulated by Gaëtan, as his younger brother often has been. Alice reassures him, advising him to be more considerate toward his classmates to enhance his social life.
In the amphitheater, Tom hosts the Golden Spatula awards ceremony, presenting awards to Mehdi as the most relaxed Santa Claus, Malik for Food Critic, Tom for Best Entertainer, Pénélope for the girl who thinks she’s Tom Cruise, and Thelma for the most bewildering Career.
Finally, Tom awards Gaspard the Golden Spatula for the Guy who thinks he’s stylish while being a total jerk. Surprisingly, Gaspard steps up to accept his award and delivers a speech filled with self-deprecating humor, though the students seem skeptical of his sincerity.
