The Hôtel de Glace is ready to receive visitors and its rooms are available for rent from Sunday, January 2. There will be 24 in total, with nightly rates ranging from $ 399 (basic room with one bed) to $ 849 (luxury suite with fireplace and private spa and sauna).
This year, the pop-up hotel, located for the sixth time at the Valcartier Holiday Village, offers themed suites on the theme of escape. The sets will take you to the Far North, of course, but also to ancient Egypt, Mexico, China and New York, among others. For the moment, one cannot consume his cocktail in an ice-cube glass, as in the past – the “bar” not being authorized to do so due to sanitary measures – nor take advantage of the Nordic area with spas and saunas, but it is possible to visit the common areas of the Hotel, including the majestic vaulted chapel, and admire the ice sculptures. You can stroll in the rooms and suites until 8 p.m.
The 42,000-square-foot construction, the only one of its kind in North America, will be completed on January 16 and is expected to remain open until mid-March.
