Environment: in Norway, an 18-storey skyscraper made entirely of wood

100 km north of Oslo, facing Norway’s largest lake, an astonishing silhouette emerges. It is an 18-storey tower, whose structure and facades were entirely made of wood. “Here is the plaque that says it is the largest wooden construction in the world”, Rejoices Rune Abrahamsen, lumber producer and main designer of the 85.35 meter high skyscraper.

To reach the top, visitors have the choice of taking one of the three elevators or going up the stairs. But in this case, it is better not to feel dizzy. The top floor of the tower offers a breathtaking view of pine and spruce forests. “The building was entirely made thanks to the trees that we see around us.
