The Irish suffered a fourth defeat in the Six Nations Tournament by losing at home (48-0) on Saturday against the English who chained a fourth success before receiving the French.

The XV of the Rose has made an appointment with France. By winning in Cork against Ireland (48-0), Saturday April 22, during the 4th day of the Six Nations Tournament, the English offered themselves the right to play a real final against the French, in a week, at Twickenham, with the Grand Slam in sight. After a perfect start to the match, symbolized by a try from the second minute of play, the English were able to play their rugby until half-time, already securing the offensive bonus point (27-0).

The second period was much more messy, between brave and catchy Irish and English in difficulty to concretize their situations in the 22 opposing meters. But the English machine again made the difference at the end of the match, with three tries in quick succession, giving the score a larger scale. After scoring five points in Wales, three against France, and seven in Italy, the Irish suffered a fourth defeat, being unable to score a single point.
