The images of the violence inside the Stade de France no longer exist, the representative of the French Football Federation said Thursday, June 9. Does this new hiccup make people react on the other side of the Channel? Journalist Matthieu Boisseau, live from London, takes stock of the situation.
How do the English react following the announcement of the removal of CCTV images from the Stade de France? “This information does not make the front page of the British press this morning, but it clearly scandalizes the side of Liverpool (United Kingdom)”reports, Friday June 10, the journalist Matthieu Boisseau, of France Televisions London (United Kingdom).
The mayor of the metropolis, heard Thursday, June 9 by French parliamentarians, said to himself “shocked”and judges the deletion “really worrying”. A reporter from the Daily Mirror was also outraged. “Not only did the French police lie, but they also obstructed justice”, he wrote. The message was relayed and shared on Twitter by Liverpool’s main supporters’ association. “Trust in the French authorities is therefore clearly broken”concludes Matthieu Boisseau.
