England | Employee killed at Glastonbury Festival

An employee of the Glastonbury festival, in England, lost his life in a tent. The Independent reported the news on Thursday.


According to local police, a man in his 40s was found unconscious Tuesday afternoon while cleaning up the festival. It would be Jason Winder, a 48-year-old DJ, who died overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police Force confirmed the grisly discovery by investigators: “Police were called to the scene around 2:20 p.m. on June 27 after a man was found unconscious in his tent located in The Park, on the site of the Glastonbury festival. »

“Unfortunately, the police were able to confirm the death of the man, a member of the festival team, on the stage. Death is not considered suspicious. An investigation is underway. »

Preliminary police reports indicate that Mr. Winder died of a “medical incident”.

The Glastonbury Festival, held annually since 1970, was held June 21-26 this year. Employees remained on site for cleanup and maintenance until June 28.
