Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Energy Transition, announced a second energy sobriety plan dedicated to the summer period. After an act 1 last winter allowing to reduce energy consumption by 12%, 14 new measures have just been unveiled. Advertisements that look like reminders, starting with the air conditioning. The Minister intends to remind shops and businesses that it must not fall below 26°C, or even remind stores of the obligation to close the door when using an air conditioner.

A measure for football clubs

Another key measure: illuminated signs and advertisements must now be equipped with a switch to be turned off at night. With regard to football clubs, the conditions for granting the license to benefit from television rights must take into account energy sobriety criteria. Financial and administrative sanctions could be given in the event of non-compliance with these decrees.
