Energy renovation fraud is on the rise. Consumers should remain vigilant and not share personal information with marketers.

Poorly done, unfinished work, bad advice, consumer loans, companies posing as public officials… There are many frauds in energy renovation. In 2021, they cost 92 million euros and this number is increasing. In one house, a heat pump kept tripping as soon as it got cold, forcing residents to use auxiliary heating. In 2022, 10,000 complaints were registered against companies. In a report delivered Wednesday, July 5, the senators advocate more effective controls and heavier sanctions.
