Towards new treatments?
Little known disease for a long time considered tabooendometriosis has experienced a certain delay in terms of awareness, information, care, but also research.
If most often, the treatment is hormonal, by taking a pill which blocks the periods month after month, the pain linked to the side effects cannot be eliminated. However, some studies suggest a path towards two new treatmentsby Scottish and Japanese researchers in particular.
RN bill rejected
On October 4, the bill from the National Rally was rejected, this aims to better support women affected by the disease. The bill plans to grant them long-term illness status and full coverage of care. This text was criticized by the majority and the left, denouncing that the RN wishes to give itself an image as a defender of women’s rights and that this text proposes “less than existing law”, according to Stéphanie Rist, of the Renaissance group.
